REFLECTIONS ON WEEK 1

1. Are there any factors that you think are going to affect your participation or experience in this class? Access to a computer?  Mobile/smart phone?  Transportation?  Friends/family? Schedule?

No I don't think there are any factor that are going to affect my participation in the class. The only think that will affect me is if my internet isn't working and I have no way of getting online. also if I am not here for a swim meet because I compete for USA swimming. so some days I will miss because I will be away for a competition

2. Think of an awesome best ever learning experience that changed you. What did you learn? Where were you? What happened? Who else was there? Did it teach you anything about how you learn (or pay attention... or remember, or think?) How did you know what was happening?

When I was in 9th grade I went to USA junior nationals for swimming. there were over 2,000 athletes there and I was so nervous. I trained so hard and I knew I was prepared for that meet. once it was time for me to get up and race, I psyched myself out and did bad, I was devastated. luckily I still had three more races. my coach calmed me down and told me to focus this is what I trained to do. I got my head inline and it was time for me to race again. I did pretty good and dropped some time. I was proud with what I went. it made me realize if you want something bad then you have to train for it and be committed. I trained 4 months straight by myself for that meet. I came out of that meet feeling like a winner.

3.What are you most [excited/concerned] about in this class? What do you look forward to in learning?  How do you think it can/will make a practical difference in your life?

My most concern is the essays. the only reason is because English has always been one of weakest subjects. I am not to bad at writing essays but I need improvement. I look forward to sharing thoughts and just to see how other people process things in their heads differently than me and to hear all their thoughts. I have already learned some stuff just within the week we have been in school.
