When is being smart a good or bad thing?

There's nothing wrong with being smart. There's never a wrong time being smart unless you're being a "smart mouth" that's just being rude. I notice a lot of people who are smart don't speak up. I believe the reason is because they don't want people to call them nerds and tease them. There are 7 different types of intelligences from math to even knowing things about music.
